Coordinate and lead IFI activity within the program area and support senior foundation leadership in its evaluation of opportunities involving innovative financial mechanisms.
Research and provide input into cross-cutting investment strategies and specific investment opportunities as part of regular program processes including strategic planning and pipeline reviews in consultation with other foundation teams.
Educate program officers about the IFI program, investment uses-cases and best practices as part of onboarding and strategy review activities.
Manage external relationships with key contacts in development finance institutions and social investment partners that are active in the program area.
Support deal teams in close collaboration with program, legal and other colleagues, including initial screening, investment structuring, due diligence and financial modeling of specific transactions.
Undertake financial and risk analysis on investments and present investments to the foundation’s Investment Committee.
Support program leadership in managing its IFI portfolio and act as interface between the program team and foundation investment committee with regards to risk exposure and investment performance.
This role is responsible for high quality interactions and clear and consistent communications with grantees and partners in the field.
Advanced degree in economics, business administration or related field
A minimum of 5 years’ experience with a multilateral development bank, development finance institution, other financial institution, or management consulting firm
