Develop market landscape / value chain and strategic roadmap for post-secondary education innovation.
Develop, champion business case and execute strategic initiatives aligned with roadmap, and support Deputy Director in implementing post secondary education vision.
Discover, invest in and advise innovative post-secondary education technologies.
Develop national stakeholder strategy to engage and collaborate with post secondary education industry leaders, innovators and stakeholders.
Broaden and leverage Foundation's impact on, commitment to and investment in post-secondary education.
Develop funding options that align incentives and maximize outcome, with return metrics that incentivize self-sustainability (non-profit ventures) and profitability (for-profit ventures)
Negotiate, execute, manage and advise complex, performance-based contracts, grants and investments.
Provide analysis, funding recommendations / investment rationales and status updates for existing and prospective grants and investments for review by Foundation leadership.
Consult/strategize with portfolio to maximize impact. This may include: site visits, strategic thought partnership, operational guidance and convening meetings of key stakeholders.
Build and lead team to have outsized impact on post secondary education, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and development.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree preferred with 10+ years of experience or equivalent. Significant experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, and/or technology. Experience with entrepreneurship and start-ups preferred.
