The CFO develops the Company’s financial strategies to support the Company’s objectives with principal responsibility to ensure high quality financial management throughout the Company, solid financial analysis to support business decisions, and insightful reporting for our functional leaders, executive team and shareholders. The CFO is a critical leadership role and an integral member of the executive management team. This position reports directly to the CEO of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide executive leadership to ensure the Company achieves its financial objectives.
Participate with the executive team to create and maintain the Company’s strategic goals and financial and operational metrics aligned with the goals.
Ensure appropriate financial resources are available to sustain the Company’s goals.
Provide support to the CEO, shareholders and executive team to identify information necessary for fact-based decision making and produce accurate and timely reports to support the same.
Provide timely and accurate financial information for stakeholders including financial statements, operating and capital budgets, financial trend analysis, and information reports.
Provide technical financial support to functional leaders in the organization on annual business plans and ongoing adjustments to achieve overall business goals.
Develop, implement and manage policies, procedures, internal controls and process improvements in the finance, treasury, accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance functions to safeguard Company’s assets and continuously improve overall operation and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all tax reporting requirements including income tax, excise tax, sales tax, employment taxes, employee benefits and other mandated information reports.
Manage investor, banking and credit relationships as well as internal billing, credit and collection, and vendor payment processes to optimize cash flow and meet Company’s financial objectives.
Manage risk by identifying and mitigating risk whenever possible, monitoring legal issues affecting the Company and industry, coordinating legal counsel regarding corporate governance compliance and risk assessment matters, maintaining appropriate insurance coverages, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements outside the FAA Repair Station.
Review, advise, structure, negotiate, and finalize legal contracts with external parties.
Manage relationships with outside attorneys, commercial insurance brokers, pension plan advisors, administrators, auditors, benefits brokers and payroll vendors.
Assess merger and acquisition opportunities and oversee financial due diligence.
Manage accounting, finance and general office departments and payroll function with overall responsibility for hiring, promoting, coaching, disciplining, or terminating employees therein.
Develop succession plan to maintain pipeline of strong finance and accounting talent.
Perform other financial duties as required.
REQUIRED ABILITY TO:
Demonstrate expert knowledge of finance, GAAP accounting, budgeting, tax, regulatory compliance, risk management and cost control principles.
Assess emerging changes in accounting principles and tax regulations affecting the Company and implement changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Assess Company’s proprietary ERP platform currently in the implementation stage and apply strong accounting knowledge to ensure data integrity necessary to produce accurate financial information.
Analyze financial data and oversee timely preparation of financial statements and budgets.
Articulate complex ideas and concepts in simple terms. Listen to others attentively and retain/process information effectively.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
CPA and/or CGMA/CMA credential.
10+ year track record of high achievement in progressively responsible financial leadership roles to include at least 4 years with a privately-held company.
Solid understanding of ERP systems including implementation management.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Previous aviation industry experience.
Previous experience with both privately-held and public sector businesses.
Work in office environment.
Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week, as needed.
