We are opening this candidate bank to identify potential candidates for full-time permanent, as well as temporary and on-call work. The salary range for these positions is $2,642 to $3,110 per month, dependent upon prior related experience and education. If you are offered a full-time position, you will be eligible for the University's generous benefits package.
With 40+ dining venues, we offer a variety of locations to work throughout Housing & Food Services. We employ Line Cooks and Shift Leads in nearly every one of those locations. Some of those locations include Husky Den, located in UW's popular and busy student union. We also have residential dining facilities in Local Point and McMahon Hall. Ever wanted to work in a food-truck? We've got those too! We even have retail operations like a full service market at District Market and a sit-down restaurant at Cultivate. We also have three Pagliacci pizza locations. And that is just a start!
You must have one-year of experience in the food-service industry to qualify for these positions, though more experience cooking and leading staff give you an edge as we seek the best employees. That means you have a proven track record of working well in high-volume kitchens and providing amazing experiences for customers and co-workers alike! All successful candidates must complete a criminal history background check and reference check before starting. Those who accept full-time positions will participate in the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) union.
