Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Business Data Analyst \(1\.0 FTE, Day Shift\) to work in Central Business Services at the Bank of America Building in Seattle, WA\. TheBusiness Data Analyst support strategic decision\-making of the Swedish Medical Group Revenue Cycle\. This position will partner with leadership to deliver high\-quality reporting and analysis\.
Analytical resource for Revenue Cycle division, management and supervisors\.Provides analytical reporting to such leadership in support sound business decisions, planning, processes and actions\.Analysis includes wide variety of ad hoc analytical work supporting new business evaluation, provider compensation plan changes, budgeting, planning, and operational change evaluation\. Consults with managers and providers and/or their staff in the use of analytical and reporting tools to develop effective cost, quality, and satisfaction outcomes\.Provides oversight for the content, format and production of regular and ad hoc reports\.Participates in and may facilitate work groups and committees\.May provide a limited amount of project management\.Provides interpretations and recommendations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Use data warehouse, practice management system and other systems as necessary to view accounts receivable data\.Analyses to include tracking, trending, suggestions for process improvements and/or efficiency's
Develop routine and/or ad hoc reports to perform revenue cycle analysis of SMG and/or SMG clinics or providers specifically\.Note potential problems requiring immediate action
Participate and present within provider meetings AR trend analytics specific to their clinics
Develop and maintain reporting specific to payors for use in "payor report cards" and/or track/trend payor issues
Provide Health Plan Services team with data necessary to perform contract modeling, as well as performing portions of such contractual modeling using either Experian or other system\(s\) as needed\.
Analyze current processes, practices and workflows \(using Visio\), perform gap analysis, note deficiencies and/or inefficiencies, recommend solutions and collaborate with operations team\(s\) to implement necessary changes\.
Research indicators and benchmarks to assess SMG, providers and/or clinic performance\. Develop spreadsheets/prepare reports to explain issues in a clear and concise manner\.
Ensure accurate mapping of payor data from practice management system to data warehouse
Act as resource for decision support team in SMG payor knowledge
Conduct end user analyses to create and streamline efficient billing work processes
Research and communicate major changes in financial or operational performance to customers\. Propose courses of action based on monitoring report outcomes
Conduct analyses and provide input into provider compensation plan decisions, ensuring that work RVU calculations are accurate
Manage special projects from inception to completion, as assigned
Coordinate with all levels of departments and individuals to obtain or relay information relevant to projects or analyses\.
Provide fast and efficient response to business needs with the highest achievable result at the lowest cost to the company\.
Participate in workgroups and project teams as necessary\.
Continually expand knowledge of ambulatory care operations, coding, reimbursement, and practice management\.
·Demonstrate competency with all position\-related software programs\.
The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform this job successfully
BA in Business Administration or Computer Science preferred\.
Experience and Skills :
Minimum of two years progressively more responsible work experience in a health care office environment
Experience in data control functions preferred\.Formal technical training, especially in data resource management principals preferred
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects as required
Demonstrated computer skills including ability to move comfortably within functions or applications and other database skills
Knowledge of medical data processing practices, including knowledge of concepts of data
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary, including excellent customer service skills
Ability to problem solve in a fast\-paced environment
Strong analytical, interpersonal and ability to pay attention to detail skills
